Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Samuel Angel Barraza is a dynamic figure whose career spans music, television, festivals, and community service. He first made waves in the early 2000s with his album Texas Boys, which charted on Billboard multiple times and featured collaborations with notable artists such as UGK and Devin the Dude. His musical journey took him on extensive tours across the U.S. and Mexico, where he shared his passion for music with diverse audiences.

Transitioning from music, Samuel ventured into radio and television, excelling as a producer and manager for both regional and local accounts. Leveraging his musical background, he created compelling musical voiceovers for several stations. He is also the producer of one of Texas’s largest BBQ festivals and the host of the popular TV show BBQ Texas, where he travels the state showcasing the rich culture of Texas BBQ.

In addition to his media work, Samuel co-founded the viral restaurant chain Big Tex Papas, which gained recognition through features on ABC, Texas Chronicles, NewsTalk Radio, and in the Houston Chronicle. His entrepreneurial spirit and passion for community engagement shine through in his philanthropic efforts. Over the years, Samuel has raised funds for terminally ill children and has distributed thousands of turkeys to Houston’s community each Thanksgiving. Every Christmas, he organizes gift distributions for low-income families, ensuring that joy reaches those most in need.
